What is HOA subdivision rules?

Subdivision rules are the regulations an HOA imposes on the use and upkeep of property within a specific subdivision, often layered on top of the community’s broader CC&Rs to address details unique to that particular section of homes.

Why does HOA subdivision rules matter?

Subdivisions within a larger community can have genuinely different needs, different lot sizes, different shared infrastructure, which is exactly why subdivision-specific rules sometimes exist alongside the community’s general governing documents.
